I need to use this thing more often. Or at least ATTEMPT to. xD; Now, what can I put here?
Potato Chip Fast: I broke down this last weekend, and had a big bag of Ketchup chips. *sigh*
My mother didn't help matters; I told her I wanted a SMALL bag of chips, just to break the craving. She wound up buying a big bag of 'em, and NATURALLY, I'm the only one that eats the damn flavor here. >_>; But I'm back on the wagon now, and I'm going to go until the 27th.
Thanksgiving: (in Canada) Went well, always nice to hang with the family. =D Had the usual fixings; ham, turkey, veggies, buns, stuffing, and dessert. Wound up being the Designated Driver for my family; I don't mind, I'm not a drinker anyway. XD
Work: A&P (Grocery store) is doing fine. I'm not getting the hours I want right now, but that's due to stupid cutbacks all over the store. D< Hopefully things will pick up there soon. We have a few new girls in Seafood, hopefully they stay long enough to actually WORK.
Graphic Design...oi. I'm supposed to be working freelance for this company in Hamilton, but they haven't SENT me any work! I've already emailed them saying 'remember me?' lately, but I dunno. I'm not expecting anything. I may have to take drastic measures; if I don't get a job by this spring, I'm gonna move down south. Maybe they'll hire me if I'm already down there, rather than have to wait for me to move... v_v;
Other: Still on a massive art block. Kinda ticking me off. >:
Went shopping last weekend; spent about $500 on some new clothes and a kickass pair of boots. XD; Trying to get a nicer wardrobe, wearing accessories too. I'm over the whole 't-shirts and jeans' look, wanna be more feminine.

Date: October 11th, 2007 03:17 am (UTC)Yeah sometimes you have to 'break the craving' (like I was explaining in my initial post), its just too bad your mom bought such a huge bag of chips. >.< I guess one advantage to buying all my own stuff is I can just go out and get one small something something when I want it.
Yeah I love pretty clothes. Not that I do super girly but they do make me feel more confident and I like the way I look in them. My wardrobe is a good mix btw casual, semi-casual and formal I'd say...with lots of ways to mix and match. I bought more clothes this weekend, all stuff on sale. :3
I really want more jewelry though. I need necklaces to go with more of my stuff. I think I'm going to ask for a nice real silver pendant for xmas since I keep rusting through all the fake ones I buy >.< If I have one nice/plain silver pendant then at least I'll have the obligatory 'goes with everything' necklace.
Personally I really like Reitmans for their selection/quality. They've got a nice variety of clothing, many sizes, they usually have some nice things on their discount racks and they have stuff for different aged people. Went to two diff reitmans this weekend and got a skirt, 2 blouses and 3 nice half sleeve t-shirts. Yay!
I just wish they had the black faux velvet blazer that was on sale in the plus sized section. u__u BOO!
I really want a pair of nice fitting boots but because of my fat legs and wide/flat feet its hard to find them. I have one pair of platforms but those are more concert and clubbing boots. I did spend alot on a really nice pair of flats I liked this summer though. :3 I haaaatttee ballerina flats and I was looking for anything but. I found the raddest flat/semi-dressy shoes ever and I had to buy them.
Hopefully the Hamilton people will get back to you. :( The story kind of reminds me of my mom. She was employed as a call in TA at Chippewa school but was never called in. Hopefully that won't be the case with you.
